I studied Commerce at Deakin University. I worked for 3 years mainly in insurance after uni, before a sense of wanderlust hit me and I ventured overseas. 38 countries so far I have visited, including living in the UK, Ireland and Indonesia. For me travel was not only an adventure but a learning experience and a challenge. What can I learn about this destination; ancient history, natural features and local delicacies? How will I communicate in the local lingo? What does this convert to in Aussie dollars? How will I get around?
These days travel consists of small camping adventures and caravan park cabins with my family. Having the opportunity to expose our kids to the inquisitive nature of travel and force ourselves out of our family comfort zone is rewarding and fulfilling. Pitching tents, navigating the caravan park on bikes, making friends at the playground and deciding what sights we want to see are all character building for the girls and learning life experiences; making decisions and building relationships with others.
I joined Atlas Broker late 2020 after 3.5yrs working with the Victorian Government‘s Department of Justice and Community Safety when they relocated their office to a regional area. When an opportunity arose mid Covid pandemic to join the Atlas Broker mortgage team, I was excited. I worked in mortgage finance previously and enjoyed helping clients achieve their financial dreams, learning about the intricacies of mortgages and financial literacy education. I enjoy being part of a team that has highly satisfied clients who return to us for future property finance and also refer on their family and friends, safe in the knowledge that they are in great hands.
When I’m not working or hanging out with my family, I enjoy watching the footy (Hawthorn member for 26 years) and cricket.
