The pandemic created upheaval in nearly every aspect of our lives; basic freedoms like seeing family and friends to how we conduct business.
Businesses adapted quickly to work from home which necessitated technology upgrades and the phenomenon of video meetings throughout all business types not just large corporates.
It became the norm to meet clients via video rather than the tradition of a face-to-face meeting. I saw this as an opportunity to grasp and fulfil a lifelong dream of doing the “big lap”.
Being contactable in remote Australia was the major issue for this with Telstra coverage being sketchy in places and non-existent in others. Enter Elon Musk’s Starlink system which provides high
speed internet coverage literally anywhere in the country. It utilizes 3000 plus satellites which means that the more remote you are the better it works and is the quickest internet I have ever
used. It is an amazing piece of technology.
Me and my partner, along with our staffy are currently in central Australia and making our way up to Darwin and enjoying some incredible scenery and nature at is best. All the while I’m able to work full time and keep equipment finance flowing to our valuable customers.
If you are in a position to work mobile I can’t recommend doing something like this more highly…..life is good.
